Jennifer Garner advocates for labor unions, employees, and creative artists in matters pending before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and arbitrators. Her practice is devoted to protecting rights guaranteed by the National Labor Relations Act, enforcing anti-discrimination and payday laws, advising unions on internal governance, assisting with organizing campaigns and contract negotiations, and representing creators and performers in connection with trademark, copyright, and related issues.

Litigation and Counseling Experience

Jennifer has represented clients in cases before various Texas state courts, eight federal district and bankruptcy courts, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She counseled a prominent international entertainment union for more than fourteen years.

Background in Music

Jennifer also is a classically trained violinist who worked as a professional musician for twenty-five years before, during, and after law school. She holds a bachelor’s degree in violin performance from Louisiana State University, an artist’s diploma from the Hochschule fur Music Freiburg (Germany) as a Fulbright scholarship grantee, a master’s degree in violin performance from Minnesota State University, and a juris doctorate from Southern Methodist University.
